Rarely do you hear the words “hope” and “suffering” used in the same sentence. But, not so for Christians.

In the letter of 1 Peter we see the word hope used five times and the words suffering/sufferings used six times. Peter explains that part of the secret of enduring suffering – especially suffering for our faith – is understanding “hope redefined”.

This is the first of a two-part utterly practical message on hope and suffering. Next week we’ll hear part two. We urge you to not miss either of them.
